Welcome to Stoneymollan® Loch Lomond

Stoneymollan®Loch Lomond is located in one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland surrounded by nature and 360° landscapes. The natural beauty of this landscape inspired the owners to install two luxury cabins on the grounds to share this special place with others too.

Ramble On ✊

360° landscapes over Loch Lomond

Our cabins are situated in Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park just a mile or so from Balloch on the edge of Stoneymollan Muir. They are surrounded by open fields, muirland and woods on the Three Lochs Way and The John Muir Way walking trails.

We have panoramic views to Loch Lomond, The Connich Hill on the east side of the Loch, The Ochil Hills, The Kilpatrick Hills, The Crianlarich Hills and The Crieff and Loch Earn Hills.

In the Autumn and Winter when the trees drop their leaves, Inchmurrin and Ben Lomond are clearly visible.

While the cabins offer a very quiet elevated position with no neighbours (besides the owners and Scottish wildlife), they also benefit from easy access to local amenities in the nearby town of Balloch and world class hospitality at Cameron House on Loch Lomond.

Wildlife

You are very likely to see some of the wildlife we share our landscape with. Apart from common species such as Frogs and Toads, Field Voles, Foxes, Stoats (ermine in winter), Hedgehogs, a variety of Garden Birds, Buzzards, Grouse, Pheasants and the occasional adventurous Rabbit (there are too many stones in the ground for them to dig burrows), you may also see Red Squirrels, Roe Deer, Barn Owls, Ospreys (in summer), Tree Creepers, Woodpeckers, Ravens, Sparrow Hawks, Kestrels and common Lizards to name a few. There is also a pair of Golden Eagles nesting approximately 10 miles away.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted like family. We had a gorgeous view from our pod and the spa. It was also magical because it had snowed.

Stoneymollan is magical from the moment you drive up the lane until the moment you leave. You get the best greeting from their big pup on arrival. Brian and Gillian live right beside the pods and are on hand to offer plenty of local recommendations from restaurants & takeaways to lovely walks around the area. The hot tub was amazing especially in the cold weather, the Sauna was also fantastic and has the most beautiful view from it and the pod we stayed in was very clean and spacious and the tv had netflix. We loved it so much we have booked to come back again in 3 weeks!

MY STAY AT UPPER STONEYMOLLAN My trip to Stoneymollan could only be described as my heaven on earth!! What a stunning location and fantastic hosts Gillian and Brian. They really were super, so friendly and welcoming! The pod was fab, very cosy and warm with under floor heating, equipped with everything you would need for your stay. The hot tub was fabulous, but oh the views… in one word stunning!! The family pet dog just stole my heart along with Stoneymollan. This is one place everyone needs to visit. I will definitely be making more trips back there as it is a very special place! Think I left a little of my heart there!!

Amazing Stay with amazing hosts.

Although we didn’t get as much time as we wanted (due to our own plans), this place is heaven. The owners of the property couldn’t be nicer and they are so friendly. The cabins are beautiful, the views are priceless and the hot tub is amazing. If you’re looking for somewhere to escape where nothing is an issue, get yourself here asap. Well worth it.

A SERIOUS CASE OF LOVE I have spent 2 incredible days with my wife and kids at Stoneymollan as the beginning of our first trip to Scotland. We were hosted by Brian, Gillian and their family, and we couldn’t expect lovelier and more welcoming hosts. The experience at the pod was very exciting - the word ‘luxury’ is definitely adequate - and the sauna was a real treat. We found that here you can have it all: the peace and tranquillity of a stunning landscape, and the ready access to all the activity and bustle around Loch Lomond and even Glasgow. But what impressed me the most was the love for the place and the land around it expressed in Brian’s words and gestures. And even in such a short stay, it was easy to understand why he and is family fell in love with Stoneymollan. A place is more than landscape and architecture: it’s also people. After our stay, we kept travelling around Scotland and saw many places of beauty and wonder, but for me Brian and his family will stand out as the perfect Scottish hosts
